Soccer Game Preview: Chester County vs. Jackson South Side

The Chester County Eagles will square off against the Jackson South Side Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Chester County's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Jackson South Side has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

While the 4-4 score might suggest a draw, it was Hardin County who was credited with the victory on Thursday. The Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Chester County's one. Even if Chester County couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

They hit Hardin County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Chris Wilger, Jaylen Edgeston, Tanner Melugin, and Linkin Phillips.

Monday just wasn't the day for Jackson South Side's offense. They lost 7-0 to Lexington on Monday. While losing is never fun, Jackson South Side can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Lexington are ranked 132nd).

Chester County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Jackson South Side, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
