Volleyball Recap: Olympic Heights Falls Despite Big Games from Stella Catalano and Viviana Ditonno

It was a proper cat-fight when Olympic Heights duked it out with Somerset Academy - Canyons on Tuesday. The Lions came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Olympic Heights was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Olympic Heights had strong showings from Viviana DiTonno, who had seven digs and two aces, and Stella Catalano, who had three digs and two aces.

Carolyn Riseley was a one-woman wrecking crew For Somerset Academy - Canyons. as she had 16 digs and four aces. Taylor Snyder was another key player, getting 17 digs.

Olympic Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Olympic Heights will face off against Oxbridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, they will take on North Broward Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
