Baseball Recap: Ravenna's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Ravenna had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 6-13 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Ellet Orangemen a 2-0 shutout. The Ravens have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Orangemen, too.

Not much got past Jeriah Miller, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep Ellet off the board. Miller also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ravenna is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-12 otherwise.

As for Ellet, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 25, 2024.

On Ellet's side, Keaton McKeel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 13 Ks.

Coming up, Ravenna will face off against Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ellet, they will square off against Firestone at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Orangemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
