Softball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield managed to slip by Lancaster the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Devils lost 7-0 to the Golden Gales on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since March 30th.

This is the second loss in a row for Springfield and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for Lancaster, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Coming up, Springfield will face off against Northview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lancaster, they will head out on the road to challenge Reynoldsburg at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Gales are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
