Basketball Recap: Bella Bradford's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oakwood over Armstrong

Oakwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 52-42 to the Armstrong Trojans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-42 back in December of 2024.

Oakwood lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bella Bradford, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Madalynne Nicoson was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Oakwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Armstrong, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakwood will host Cissna Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cissna Park has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Armstrong, they will welcome Mt.
