Basketball Recap: Ransom Everglades Raiders vs. Divine Savior Academy Sharks
After flying high against Palm Glades Prep Academy last Saturday, Ransom Everglades came back down to earth. The Ransom Everglades Raiders were outmatched by the Divine Savior Academy Sharks and fell 79-49. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Divine Savior Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sajoni Vargas, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 18 points in addition to six boards and five assists. That's the most points Vargas has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of David Watson, who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Ransom Everglades' defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Divine Savior Academy, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Ransom Everglades wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-39 win against Coral Shores on the 30th. As for Divine Savior Academy, they will face off against Hialeah Educational Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Divine Savior Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
