Volleyball Recap: Piper Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Miramar on Monday, Piper came back down to earth. The Bengals lost 3-0 to the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars on Wednesday. Considering the last time the Bengals couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Piper ultimately came up short, they really made Pembroke Pines Charter work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Piper saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madison Delamotte had ten digs and two aces. Delamotte is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Piper's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Piper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they will face off against Nova at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
