Volleyball Game Preview: Woodcrest Christian Royals vs. Aquinas Falcons + How To Watch

Woodcrest Christian is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Aquinas a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Woodcrest Christian Royals will host the Aquinas Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Aquinas took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Woodcrest Christian, who comes in off a win.

Woodcrest Christian not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 16, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Loma Linda Academy with a sharp 3-0 win. The game was the first time the Royals have beaten the Roadrunners on their court since September 26, 2018.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 25-22.

Woodcrest Christian found their leader in sophomore Brooklyn Russell, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Aquinas lost 3-0 to Linfield Christian on Monday.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-16.

Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Woodcrest Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Everything went Woodcrest Christian's way against Aquinas in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Woodcrest Christian made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
