Basketball Recap: Campbellsville Eagles vs. Monroe County Falcons
Campbellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 75-64 to the Monroe County Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-57 back in December of 2024.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keaton Hord, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jalen Gribbins, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 19 points.
Leading Monroe County to victory were Branson Williams and Brison Nuckols. Williams almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards, while Nuckols went 5 of 8 en route to 20 points and five rebounds. Wade Carnahan was another key player, putting up ten points.
Campbellsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Monroe County, the win got them back to even at 11-11-1.
