Football Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 27-21 to the North Point Grizzlies. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Washington and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for North Point, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Washington will face off against Fort Zumwalt East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bluejays will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Point, they are taking a road trip to take on Fort Zumwalt North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Grizzlies' offense will have their work cut out for them.
