Basketball Recap: West Orange-Stark Gets the Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but West Orange-Stark ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 54-53 victory over the Vidor Pirates. The win was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while the Pirates are ranked 210th).

West Orange-Stark's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Vidor, with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lumberton the next time they take the court. West Orange-Stark will head out to face Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Vidor will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th.
