The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Buccaneers considering their two-run performance the game before.
Kailey Crenshaw was a standout: she scored a run and stole Four bases. while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Lauren McGarry, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Jack Britt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Jack Britt is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. Gray's Creek's win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Gray's Creek has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .519.
