Baseball Recap: Castaic Comes Up Short

Castaic couldn't beat Hart on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Coyotes fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 9-8. The Coyotes have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Michael Fava was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Castaic's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Hart, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Castaic will be playing at home against Heritage Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Coyotes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hart, they will square off against Ventura at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
