Basketball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-37 loss at the hands of the Kenosha Bradford Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Sabers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Red Devils are ranked 31st).

Kenosha Bradford found their leader in sophomore Rihanna Barker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Barker has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Te'Lisha Brown was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten steals.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Kenosha Bradford, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Franklin will host Kenosha Tremper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kenosha Bradford, they are taking a road trip to take on Racine Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kenosha Bradford is facing Racine Park at the right time seeing as Racine Park is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
