Softball Preview: Stamford Black Knights vs. Danbury Hatters
The Stamford Black Knights will challenge the Danbury Hatters at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stamford has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Avianna Hul and Chloe Trimandilis did most of the damage at the plate: Hul went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Trimandilis went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave Trimandilis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Lopez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Danbury pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Stamford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
