Recap: Mercer County Titans vs. Clay County Tigers
The Mercer County Titans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against Clay County by a score of 65-52.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hayden Harris, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Bundy, who scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds.
Mercer County's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Clay County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercer County's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Clay County will take on Floyd Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
