Softball Recap: Northwest Christian Beats San Tan Foothills for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Northwest Christian waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the San Tan Foothills Sabercats 23-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-9 on April 3rd.

Northwest Christian got a massive performance out of Ella Reuter, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave Reuter a new career-high. Kinsey Unger was another key player, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northwest Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 11 consecutive matches.

Northwest Christian's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for San Tan Foothills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

As of now, neither Northwest Christian nor the Sabercats have any future games scheduled.
