Softball Recap: Mechanicville Takes a Loss

If Mechanicville was feeling good fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Saratoga Central Catholic on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Raiders took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stillwater Warriors on Wednesday. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Addison Pane was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Herrick, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Mechanicville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Stillwater, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Mechanicville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-9 loss against Albany on the 27th. As for Stillwater, they have also already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Hoosick Falls on the 25th.
