Rosewood took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Even though they lost, Rosewood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive games.

East Wake Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mallie Pearce led the charge by getting 22 kills, 21 digs, and two aces. Pearce is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 20 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Snead, who had 29 digs and three aces.

Rosewood's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-3. As for East Wake Academy, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4.
