Baseball Recap: Silver Valley Trojans vs. Academy for Academic Excellence Knights
Silver Valley had lost four straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 6-12-1 to make it five. They lost 11-1 to the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in March.
Silver Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Melcher, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. On Academy for Academic Excellence's side, Bryson Lilly was a major factor while hitting and pitching.
