Basketball Recap: Wayland Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Wayland Academy and Palmyra-Eagle squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wayland Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers, falling 66-44. The Big Red were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 48-46.

Wayland Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Palmyra-Eagle and bumps their season record up to 15-12.

As of now, neither Wayland Academy nor Palmyra-Eagle have any future games scheduled.
