Softball Recap: Credo Takes a Loss

Credo came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the San Rafael Bulldogs by a score of 13-11 on Friday. The Gryphon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aliana Martinez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Harper Malone, who got on base in two of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Credo's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for San Rafael, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Credo will host Willits at 4:00 p.m. on the 13th. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Gryphon's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for San Rafael, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Archie Williams at 4:30 p.m. on the 13th.
