Basketball Recap: The Burlington School Finds Playoff Glory Versus Harrells Christian Academy

It's playoff time, and The Burlington School had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 53-48 W over the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

The Burlington School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaden Hammond led the charge by going 5-for-9 en route to 13 points and seven boards. Hammond is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 54% in the last six games he's played. Asante Phillip was another key player, putting up ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Harrells Christian Academy lost, don't look at Antonio Mckoy. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 41.7% of Harrells Christian Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row Mckoy has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Zicareian Mcneil, who scored 12 points and six boards.

The Burlington School's win bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 30-3.
