Softball Recap: Indian River Falls Short Against Ranked Lake Forest

Indian River faced Lake Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Indians came up short against the Spartans, falling 10-0. The Indians' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Indian River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Scurci, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Indian River now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lake Forest, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian River will take on Sussex Central at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Forest, they will face off against Smyrna at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
