The Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors will face off against the Wicksburg Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Wicksburg will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Cottage Hill Christian Academy extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Warriors took their matchup with ease, bagging a 48-14 win over St. Luke's Episcopal. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 27.1 points per game.

Cottage Hill Christian Academy relied on the efforts of Kaden Nguyen, who rushed for 169 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and Shamar Toodle, who threw for 124 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Those 169 rushing yards gave Nguyen a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Aaron Ward, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cottage Hill Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 287 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Luke's Episcopal only rushed for 176.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cottage Hill Christian Academy's defense and their seven sacks. Caleb Metzner refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 3.5 sacks all by himself. Cottage Hill Christian Academy got some further help from Caden Wiggins: he picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wicksburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in October. They simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat Northside Methodist Academy 49-14. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Knights are ranked 361st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cottage Hill Christian Academy's record now sits at 9-1. As for Wicksburg, their record is now 7-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Cottage Hill Christian Academy has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 201.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Wicksburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 240.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
