Volleyball Recap: Center Comes Up Short

Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Oakmont Vikings, falling 3-0. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-15.

Isabella Kossov paced Center's offense, picking up ten kills. Kossov got some help from Renee Bermejo and her 13 assists. Finally, Kossov was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Center's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oakmont, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-6.

Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Cordova on the 17th. As for Oakmont, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Lincoln on the 18th.
