South Adams and Pioneer squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but South Adams had to settle for second. They lost to the Panthers at home by a 31-14 margin. The Starfires' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Tytus Lehman threw for 197 yards and a pair of TDs. Wesley Summersett was his top target, picking up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, Kaleb Minger rushed for 66 yards on only five carries.

Noah Vanmeter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pioneer, rushing for 185 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Vanmeter has posted since back in September of 2024.

South Adams' loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Pioneer, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

South Adams does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pioneer, they will face off against South Putnam at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
