Softball Recap: Armstrong Trojans vs. Salt Fork Storm
Armstrong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Salt Fork Storm. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Armstrong of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Armstrong saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tinley Parkerson, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and a run. Parkerson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
Armstrong's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Salt Fork, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-14.
As of now, neither Armstrong nor Salt Fork have any future games scheduled.
