Baseball Recap: Immaculata Beats Ridge for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Immaculata made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ridge, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans put the hurt on the Red Devil with a sharp 10-4 win on Wednesday. The victory was just business as usual for the Spartans, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Ryan Auten tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Immaculata let Jackson Lewis and Conor Quinn run wild. Lewis went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Quinn went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that Lewis launched this season. Jayson Labrador was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Immaculata kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Immaculata pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Immaculata will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Devil: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
