Basketball Recap: North Dorchester Gets the Win

North Dorchester won the last time they faced St. Michaels, and Remdy Wongus did her part to make sure it happened again. The North Dorchester Eagles walked away with a 42-30 win over the St. Michaels Saints on Wednesday thanks in part to Wongus, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North Dorchester's points.

Another player making a difference was Ziyah Panton, who posted five points and six boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

North Dorchester's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for St. Michaels, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21.

North Dorchester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-40 defeat against Kent County on the 20th. St. Michaels does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
