Volleyball Recap: Trumann Takes a Loss

Trumann lost against Pocahontas back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redskins. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trumann started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-13, 25-13.

Kenzie Ogden was her usual excellent self, getting 15 digs and two aces for Pocahontas. The dominant performance also gave Ogden a new career-high in assists (19). Lilly Thielemier was another key player, getting 16 digs and four aces.

Trumann's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pocahontas, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Trumann will challenge rival Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pocahontas is set to square off against their familiar foe Brookland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
