Soccer Game Preview: Clover Hill vs. Cosby

Clover Hill hasn't had much luck against Cosby recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will head out to challenge the Titans at 7:30 p.m. Clover Hill has given up an average of 3.7 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clover Hill came up short against Monacan on Thursday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Clover Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Monacan are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, Cosby beat Powhatan 3-1 on Thursday. Cosby haven't had any issues with Powhatan recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Cosby now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Clover Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Clover Hill suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Cosby when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
