Preview: Richmond Bobcats vs. Boothbay Seahawks
The Richmond Bobcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Boothbay Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Richmond's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Boothbay has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
In what's become a running theme this season, Richmond gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against Carrabec as Richmond made off with a 62-40 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Richmond has posted since December 12, 2023.
Boothbay posted their closest win yet this season on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Telstar and snuck past 40-38.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boothbay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Finn Harkins, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Luke Morley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Boothbay, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.
Richmond didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Boothbay in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 60-54 victory. Does Richmond have another victory up their sleeve, or will Boothbay turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
