Softball Recap: Ridge Spring-Monetta Drops Season-High Score on Batesburg-Leesville

Ridge Spring-Monetta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 9-4 to the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers. One positive for the Trojans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Ridge Spring-Monetta's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Batesburg-Leesville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0-1.

Coming up, Ridge Spring-Monetta will challenge Williston-Elko at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they will square off against Strom Thurmond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
