Volleyball Recap: Quarry Lane Cougars vs. Lathrop Spartans

Quarry Lane saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lathrop Spartans by a score of 2-1.

Lathrop's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Petroff, who had four aces, three digs, and two blocks. Petroff is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 18 games she's played. Justine Mabutas was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Quarry Lane's defeat dropped their record down to 24-3. As for Lathrop, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.
