Recap: Geneva Knights vs. Circle Christian Centurions
The Geneva Knights lost against the Circle Christian Centurions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Geneva fell 60-51 to Circle Christian.
Circle Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucas Valdes out in front who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Valdes has scored at least 25% of Circle Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Jones, who scored 12 points.
Geneva has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Circle Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Geneva will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Circle Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bridge to Independence at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
