Lake Cormorant suffered their closest defeat since April 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Tishomingo County Braves by a score of 9-7. Lake Cormorant's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Derrin Randle was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jake Romero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Dominic Clements also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lake Cormorant's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Tishomingo County, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
