Baseball Recap: First Coast's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

First Coast had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Baldwin Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Buccaneers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

The team relied heavily on Kharee Phillips, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Rob Chatman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

First Coast's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Baldwin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

First Coast will take on West Nassau in a tournament on Friday. First Coast will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Baldwin, they will welcome Englewood at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The last five games Englewood has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
