League recap: Denver West extends winning streak with victory over The Pinnacle

Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A Colorado this week, Denver West beat The Pinnacle 49-21,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Cowboys.

Kent Denver took down Middle Park 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jaden Franklin ran for 158 yards during the win.

Manual's dynamic duo of Rocky Evans and Elijah Huff proved to be unstoppable against Bishop Machebeuf, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Evans threw for 160 yards and Huff had 68 yards receiving. Josh Wilson helped Manual's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 42 yards.

The Thunderbolts' dynamic duo of Evans and Huff proved tough for the Buffaloes to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Brandon Martinez was a passing and rushing force as Denver West defeated the Timberwolves. Martinez's key target this week was Damien Nielsen, who caught 2 passes for 33 yards.

Martinez was a force in the backfield as Leon Garcia's team beat The Pinnacle.

Evans put up the best numbers through the air as Manual fell to Bishop Machebeuf.

Huff was the best receiver in the league this week as Douglas Clinkscales' team lost to Brian Kelsch's team.

Martinez was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 215 yards on 17 carries as the Cowboys fell to the Buffaloes. Brandon Arnold also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.

Kent Denver's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Sun Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joey Matarazzo has thrown for 344 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Jack Raeder has 11 catches for 165 yards.

As it stands, the Sun Devils are in second, while Ridge View Academy is in third.

Denver West made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,078 from 11,467. The advance stemmed from a 49-21 victory over Eric Hahn's team last week.
