Softball Recap: Bainbridge-Guilford Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats beat the Moravia Blue Devils 7-4 on Tuesday.

Alessandra Cafasso spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bainbridge-Guilford let Danica Park and Breanna Casey run wild. Park went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Casey went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Jayslin Henderson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Bainbridge-Guilford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Moravia, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

As of now, neither Bainbridge-Guilford nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
