Basketball Recap: Apollo Takes a Loss

Apollo lost against Sartell-St. Stephen back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Apollo Eagles fell to the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres 78-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (71), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Apollo and nudges their season record down to 7-7. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-5.

Apollo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-57 victory against Pequot Lakes on the 24th. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rocori at 5:45 p.m. on February 7th.
