League recap: Valor Christian extends winning streak with victory over Doherty

Valor Christian extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Doherty, 49-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Eagles.

Valor Christian took down the Spartans 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Luke Del Rio threw for 196 yards and four touchdowns in the win.

Brent Vieselmeyer's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Trey Hanley chipped in 53 yards. Levi Waddell helped Valor Christian's passing attack out by catching two balls for 55 yards.

Alex Ulmer was the best wideout in the league this week as the Eagles defeated Doherty. Ulmer tallied three receptions for 83 yards.

Valor Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Del Rio has thrown for 1094 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Ulmer has 25 catches for 341 yards. Christian McCaffrey leads the league in rushing with 564 yards.

Valor Christian led Freelance in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on David Joyce's team. Del Rio in the win.
