Basketball Recap: Deming Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Deming had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Espanola Valley Sundevils by a score of 45-36. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Deming's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Espanola Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-10.

Looking ahead, Deming will take on Gallup at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gallup knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Deming likes a good challenge. Espanola Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
