Basketball Game Preview: A.L. Brown Wonders vs. Mooresville Blue Devils

The A.L. Brown Wonders will challenge the Mooresville Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A.L. Brown has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 13.

A.L. Brown came up short against South Iredell on Friday, falling 68-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wonders have suffered against the Vikings since January 26, 2022.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mooresville). They enjoyed a cozy 72-54 win over West Cabarrus on Friday. The Blue Devils pushed the score to 53-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolverines cut but never quite recovered from.

The victory made it two in a row for Mooresville and bumps their season record up to 8-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for A.L. Brown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-18.

A.L. Brown was dealt a bruising 65-13 defeat at the hands of Mooresville when the teams last played back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point A.L. Brown was down 28-6.
