Recap: Shadow Ridge Mustangs vs. Liberty Patriots
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Shadow Ridge Mustangs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. The game between Shadow Ridge and Liberty wasn't particularly close, with Shadow Ridge falling 27-8. Shadow Ridge has not had much luck with Liberty recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Coen Coloma threw for 60 yards and a touchdown. Joseph Darr was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards. On the ground, Evan Cannon gained 66 total yards and a touchdown.
Liberty's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyrese Smith, who threw for 181 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Jayden Robertson was in the mix too, providing Liberty with three touchdowns.
Shadow Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Liberty, their victory was their tenth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Shadow Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Liberty will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bishop Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on November 21st. Bishop Gorman will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
