Basketball Recap: Raymond/South Bend Drops Season-High Score on Wahkiakum

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Raymond/South Bend). They snuck past the Wahkiakum Mules with a 71-67 victory on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Ravens as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Raymond/South Bend was led to victory by Chris Quintana and Aaron Somero. Quintana dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards, while Somero dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Quintana's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Chris Banker was another key player, going 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Raymond/South Bend's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Wahkiakum, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Raymond/South Bend wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-63 win against Friday Harbor on the 27th. As for Wahkiakum, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-55 defeat against Summit Classical Christian School on the 21st.
