Basketball Recap: Cadott Takes a Loss

After flying high against Osseo-Fairchild on Monday, Cadott came back down to earth. The Hornets fell 50-38 to the Fall Creek Crickets on Thursday. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Cadott lost, don't look at Taylor Hager. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points and three steals. Hager is becoming a predictor of the Hornets' success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when she doesn't). Dani Sikora was another key player, putting up five points and nine boards.

Cadott's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Fall Creek, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.
