Football Game Preview: Boonville Pirates vs. Osage Indians

The Boonville Pirates will square off against the Osage Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

If Osage heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Boonville took over last week. The Pirates blew past California 27-7 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Pirates' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Pintos are ranked 258th).

Tatum Hough went supernova, rushing for 52 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 166 yards and two TDs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Boonville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brody Porter and Dylan Clark. Porter is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Clayton Schuster was another major factor on D, making ten total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Hallsville kept up with Osage until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. Osage simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hallsville 46-15. The win was nothing new for Osage as they're now sitting on three straight.

Osage's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Boonville, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
