Volleyball Recap: Averi Sparks Key Part of Team Effort in Golden Eagles Win

Fergus won the last time they faced Custer County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cowboys. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

The win didn't come easy: Custer County scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 15-25, 27-25, 25-20.

Fergus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Averi Sparks, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Sparks a new career-high.

Fergus' victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Custer County, they moved to 17-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Fergus and Havre will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Custer County, they will head out to face off against Dawson County at 4:00 p.m. on October 2.
