Basketball Game Preview: Owensville Dutchmen vs. Vienna Eagles

The Owensville Dutchmen will challenge the Vienna Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Owensville is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game two weeks ago. They came up short against Nevada, falling 57-36. While losing is never fun, the Dutchmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Tigers are ranked 60th).

Meanwhile, Vienna lost 64-42 to Prairie Home on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Owensville will need focus on slowing down Eli Crum, one of several Vienna players who made an impact when they last played. He posted seven points and five boards. Those seven points gave Crum a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Teagan James, who earned eight points.

Vienna's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Owensville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
